Myrtle Beach, SC, Since 2016

Built by someone who’s been managing WordPress sites since before it was cool.

Firebolt didn’t start as a hosting company. It started as a problem: too many hacked sites, too many 2am emergencies, too many clients asking why their website was down. The answer turned out to be static.

The origin story

Firebolt started in 2016 as a WordPress maintenance service. Kevin Young, a web professional based in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, was spending too many hours cleaning up hacked sites, chasing down broken plugin updates, and explaining to clients why their “fine” website had quietly gone offline overnight.

The work was reactive: fix this, patch that, restore from backup, apologize for the downtime. It wasn’t a great way to run a business, and it wasn’t a great outcome for clients who just wanted their website to work.

“At some point I stopped asking ‘how do I fix this’ and started asking ‘how do I make this impossible.’ Static hosting was the answer.”

Static WordPress wasn’t the obvious answer at the time. But after running it for his own sites and then for clients, the results were hard to argue with: faster load times, a dramatically smaller attack surface, sites that kept serving even when the WordPress backend had an issue, and no more 2am calls.

Firebolt became the formal home for that approach: a service built around the idea that small business websites shouldn’t require constant management, emergency repairs, or technical expertise from the people who own them. You run your business. We run your hosting.

Who we serve

Firebolt is for small business owners who are done dealing with hosting drama.

Your site is slow and you know it

You’ve been meaning to deal with it for months. Maybe years. You know it’s costing you: in bounce rates, in credibility, in conversions. Firebolt is how you deal with it, finally, without turning it into a project.

Performance

Your site got hacked, or almost did

Once is enough. Whether you’ve been through a full compromise or just keep seeing suspicious activity in your logs, static architecture closes the door that let them in. The public never touches your database.

Security

You just want it handled

You didn’t start your business to manage web hosting. You want a fast, secure, reliable website, and you want someone who actually knows what they’re doing to be responsible for it. That’s the whole point of Firebolt.

The person behind Firebolt

When you work with Firebolt, you work with Kevin.

Not a support ticket system. Not a tier-one agent reading from a script. Not a team of contractors you’ll never speak to. Kevin Young founded Firebolt, manages every client site, and is the person who answers when you reach out.

Kevin has been building and managing WordPress sites since 2010, when he co-founded RdyToGo℠ as a web design and repair company in Myrtle Beach. Over the years the work evolved, from computer repair to web design to WordPress maintenance to, eventually, the static hosting model that became Firebolt.

He also founded Pro-How℠, an AI training and automation company for small business owners, and co-organizes the Myrtle Beach WordPress Meetup, a free community event for business owners, web designers, and anyone curious about building a better web presence.

How we operate

Plain language. Honest answers. No runaround.

Firebolt isn’t a faceless SaaS. It’s a service run by a person, which means you get a straight answer when you ask a question, a real explanation when something needs to change, and someone who actually has context on your site when you need help.

The brand personality pillars below aren’t marketing copy. They’re how Kevin actually operates.

01

Confident, not cocky

We know what we’re doing. We don’t need to prove it with jargon or technical posturing. If something needs explaining, we’ll explain it in plain English.

02

Plain-spoken

If a client’s grandparent wouldn’t understand it, we rewrite it. No acronyms, no buzzwords, no unnecessary complexity. Clear communication is part of the service.

03

Quietly playful

Warm, occasionally witty, never trying too hard. We take the work seriously. We don’t take ourselves too seriously.

Your website should quietly do its job, not require constant attention from you.

Speed and security aren’t premium features. They’re the baseline.

You should be able to call the person who manages your hosting.

If something breaks, the right answer is “we’ll fix it,” not a support ticket queue.

Static WordPress isn’t a workaround. It’s how well-managed sites should run.

You run your business. We run your hosting. That’s the whole deal.
